I blame Gareth

A week in Krakow wouldn’t be complete without a stinking hangover. My brain is pretty much mush today, but thankfully the engineers here are getting very good so the questions have not been so intense. Last night I met up with the myriad of Managers here this week and then with Gareth. Yes, thats right, Gareth. The boy gets everywhere! This summer he’s so far been to Spain, Wales, England, France, Holland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. Not bad for someone who lives in Australia. He even managed to time his trip to Krakow to coincide with me being here and Bozena’s leaving do.

After a couple of beers on the terrace we met up with some of the CAP bods including Bozena who was celebrating leaving the company. We found another bar and gradually more and more people turned up. A good night out, but drinking with Gareth is always dangerous. I found myself doing a Gibbo, that is, falling asleep at the bar. To be fair, it was quite late by then. After a few goodbyes I wandered back to the hotel for 4am. Today, as a result, has not been so pleasant…

I fly out tomorrow morning, thus terminating my shortest trip here. I must say, I’ve met some splendid people who have really made my various trips very enjoyable. Having spent two months over the last year here it is actually quite sad to know this is my last trip to Krakow with the company. I’ll be back to Krakow some day, unfortunately though, I don’t think it will be for some time.
