So with a mere 9 months to go until the 2018 Icarus Trophy launches, I figured I’d better get myself a To Do list. After all, I struggle to function without my lists.

• Purchase flights to Johannesburg
• Investigate and obtain visas
• Obtain flying and survival gear
• Route planning
• Raise money for charity
• Learn how to fly

Nothing major in there then. It feels like there is a less to do than for The Mongol Rally which pretty much took over my life for the half year proceeding the launch. And as for the last one, how difficult can it be?
