So what's this all about then?

First off, for those who don't know me, I'm a 27 year old English man embarking on another great adventure. I grew up in Harrow, on the outskirts of small English village known as London. I studied and generally enjoyed myself in my own reserved way at University in Bristol (which it has to be said, is a fantastic city). After this along came a splendid opportunity to live and work in Madrid. Originally this was expected to be little more than a year. As it turned out, has been more than four (four of the best years of my life, I hasten to add). I am passionate about traveling, photography, music and all things car related. All expensive hobbies but life, after all, is to be lived.

This web site was put together primarily as a personal diary / weblog of the more interesting things that I was getting up to, but has grown into a medium for me to share my ideas, photos and general rants with anyone who is interested. Something that has surprised me is the amount of friends and family who come back regularly to have a read. I'm obviously doing something right.

The idea came about having returned from Mongolia as part of the Mongol Rally in which I drove an 18 year old Austin Mini from London to Ulaan Baatar. Well and truly bitten by the travel bug once again (something that first started with a five week backpacking trip in Thailand), this site seemed like good of tracking any future trips.

The idea for the name came from the fact that friends had difficulty in keeping track of what the hell I was up to. This seemed to tie in nicely with the ultimate objective of the site: tracking my world travels.
